COVID19 & Sustainable Development in Africa

Initially assumed to be an epidemic, COVID19 has surprisingly transcended borders and has accurately been termed a global pandemic as a result of its devastating sweep in over 150 countries with worrisome mortality rate and compelling impact on the economy and social livelihood of countries, especially in Africa.

Given the above, it was deemed germane to bring together Sustainable Development enthused Africans for an online discourse; this would serve as an opportunity to discuss the impacts of COVID19 on issues around Sustainable Development in Africa. It would further serve as an avenue to have Africans come together to expound on the mutual challenges COVID19 thrusts on the continent and also bring to bear likely possibilities and opportunities on the environment, social and economic dimensions of Sustainable Development.

The event is finished.
